Pinewood Derby Car Paint Stand

This paint stand is the perfect tool for helping you to create
an awesome paint job on your Pinewood Derby car. This stand elevates
the car for an easy paint application. It also gives you something
to hold on to and keeps hands away from wet paint. It works perfectly
with an airbrush, spray can or paint brush. Designed to fit any
wheelbase. Works with cars with axle slots or axle holes. Minor
assembly and wood glue required.
Assembly Instructions:
1. Your kit includes two mounting rods, two side pieces and two
base pieces. You will also need wood glue and two rubber
bands. Note that the base pieces have different size tabs along
the edges. These tabs determine where each base fits into the
side pieces. Test the fit by assembling the paint stand without
glue. |
2. Place a thin bead of wood glue along both side edges of the
two base pieces as shown above. Mount the base pieces into the
side
pieces. |
3. Use two rubber bands to hold the pieces together until they
dry. Make sure that the side pieces are perpendicular to
the base pieces. |
4. When the glue is dry, Place the mounting rods on the
paint stand as shown. Place your car on the stand so that the
mounting rods fit in the axle slots. |
5. If you have a spare set of axles, you can use them instead
of the mounting rods. Insert each axle part way into the car
then place the car on the paint stand. DO NOT USE THE AXLES
THAT YOU WILL BE RACING WITH. |
